Welcome Vanessa Medina – Office Manager
Vanessa joined Garabar to take charge of day-to-day administrative operations including creating and scheduling work orders for repairs and coordinating sales associates and their appointments. Vanessa is an integral part of the Garabar customer service team, ensuring that all our customers continue to receive the personal attention that has made us second to none in South Florida. Vanessa previously served in the United States Army where she spent a tour of duty in Iraq.

Duro-Last Authorized Contractor
We’re proud to announce that Garabar has recently become an authorized installer/contractor for Duro-Last, a leader in commercial roofing material. Duro-Last’s prefabricated single-ply roofing products are available for almost any commercial flat or low slope application. The membrane itself is white and high reflective making it ideal for cost savings to business owners. It is also a very durable roofing system and with little maintenance can stay water tight and strong during high winds and adverse weather.

Product Spotlight – Slate Roofing
We blogged about our SlateCrafter certification by GAF and want to take this opportunity to let you know why the slate product from GAF is truly a fantastic and revolutionary product.
Typically slate roofing requires the roof to withstand a heavy load and not all roofs are suited to it. similarly due to the unique nature of slate, it was always an expensive roofing option. With GAF’s new TruSlate product, these downfalls are mostly eliminated. The TruSlate product is REAL slate, but it is less is much thinner than traditional slate tiles. It also has a nifty snap-in installation. What you get is a uniform slate look with less material and less weight while also saving on installation costs because it is so much easier for us.
If you’ve always wanted slate but never thought you could afford it, now’s the time to give us a ring.

Fleet Additions – Roof Estimating Trucks
We’ve added three Ford Ranger pickup trucks to our fleet of vehicles. These Fords will serve as estimating trucks while our F-150s and Super Duty’s will continue to be used for crew and installation operations. The Rangers give our fleet a more nimble and economical stature, reducing gas costs and passing those saving on to the homeowner.

Welcome Ricky Del Valle! On Site Roofing Crew Manager
Ricky is a familiar face in several communities across South Florida. He provides the utmost in on-site roofing customer service with a smile on his face – always. Ricky embodies the guiding principle of Garabar, Inc. – providing our customers with an excellent experience from the start of the project to the very end. Because of his work ethic and positive attitude he is our primary customer liaison in the field. Ricky is also our safety and crew manager. He spends his days on the roofing jobsites making sure that crews are working effectively and efficiently and ensuring that our customer service protocol is being followed.

Welcome Jodi Zak! Roofing Division Coordinator
We want to give a warm welcome to our newest Corporate office employee, Jodi Zak.
Jodi joined Garabar in 2009 and bring with her years of property management and roofing experience as well as a customer relations background that will help Garabar work with our customers more efficiently. Prior to joining Garabar, Jodi spent 5 years at a large roofing company, working on sales, marketing and advertising. During her time there, she saw the company grow 15 fold. Before that, Jodi spent 7 years in property management working in resident relations and retention. A Broward county native, Jodi brings a wealth of local experience to Garabar and is an essential asset in keeping our customer service second to none.
