Slate Roofing: TruSlate Contractor
Garabar is proud to offer slate roofing to our customers in Southeast Florida! We are now a TruSlate Certified SlateCrafter Specialist. Our company is the first contractor to achieve this certification in the entire SE Florida market area which spans from north of Vero Beach (Sebastian) down to Key West.
On a related note, Joe Bauman has successfully completed the “Advanced TruSlate Installation Techniques” course from The Center for the Advancement of Roofing Excellence, sponsored by GAF ELK.
Welcome Ron Ricketts
All of us here at Garabar are really excited to welcome Ron Ricketts, our manager of roof maintenance programs into our family of employees. Ron is an incredible asset to our program with decades of experience in the roofing industry and a particular passion for developing roof maintenance solutions that help our customers get the most out of their roofs. Ron will be supervising all elements of our newly formed maintenance division.
Fleet Additions
We’re proud to announce another two trucks have been added to our fleet of corporate vehicles. Our first truck, a Ford F-450 dump truck will be used to facilitate shingle tear-offs, haul material to and from job sites and to dispose of small waste from tile and larger jobs.
Our second truck, a Ford F-150, will be used as an estimating vehicle.
Through a work ethic that we feel is unrivaled in the area we’ve been able to grow in leaps and bounds during one of the hardest seasons for roofers and construction in general. We’re proud of these fleet additions because they are tangible evidence that even during the hard times, sticking to your principles will pay off.
Jeremy Haiduk: Construction Supervisor
Jeremy brings with him several years of construction experience that allow him to accurately size up large and small construction projects on the spot. Working throughout Palm Beach and Broward counties, Jeremy has completed hundreds of projects for satisfied clients. Further, his mechanical engineering background gives him the ability to diagnose HVAC issues and he will soon have his Mechanical Contractor’s License. His knowledge and experience gives Garabar the expertise in remodeling that few others can boast.
Craig Hall: Senior Estimator/Sales Supervisor
Craig Hall joined Garabar in 2008 as senior estimator and roofing sales supervisor, bringing with him an intricate knowledge of South Florida communities from South Broward County to North Palm Beach County. He has been in the roofing business for over 25 years starting as a laborer and working his way up into management. He has the hands-on knowledge that makes a good estimator great. He’s done the work himself, so he knows how to minimize the risk of the most common problems found in the business. In many communities, Craig is a familiar face, having spent years working on roofs throughout their communities in some cases completing over 20 roofs in one community alone.
Craig also continues to supervise all sales operations at Garabar, while training new salespeople and estimators to reach his high standards. Craig’s efforts and experience have given us the ability to confidently present accurate estimates and quality customer service for jobs both large and small.
Joe Bauman: Operations Supervisor / Field Estimator
A native Brevard County Floridian, Joe Bauman has been with Garabar virtually since its inception. Previously, Joe held a position at one of the largest roofing contractors in the country. Before that he served in the United States Army, stationed in Alaska. With Joe comes the field experience to make sure that Garabar crews are working efficiently and the job site is safe for both the homeowner and Garabar employees. Joe’s expertise also lends itself to avoiding one of the most time consuming and frustrating problems that homeowners face: too little material to finish the job. Joe is an expert at measuring roofs and determining exactly how much material is needed so that the homeowner is not overcharged and the completion of the job isn’t held up waiting for material.
Joe is an integral part of Garabar operations and his efforts continue to support our philosophy of total post-purchase satisfaction. We aim to take the worry out of roofing and Joe is the person to do that.

A.J. Garibian, President and Owner:
A.J. started Garabar, Inc. with a vision of changing the landscape of South Florida construction. It’s no secret that many construction companies in this area are less than scrupulous and that is what A.J. has set out to change. Garabar is here for the long term, not interested in making a quick buck while sacrificing our name. And that comes from the top. A.J. has always believed in the best materials, the best labor and the best warranties to make sure that whenever a customer is asked who did their roof, the customer can proudly say Garabar, Inc.
A.J. has spent over 15 years in the construction industry, building, roofing, property management and business ownership and has a firm grasp on the daunting tasks that homeowner’s face when choosing a contractor. He believes that customers should have direct access to him if need be and he provides a much needed personal touch that few companies of this size can offer. That, combined with a singular focus on the customer and finding the best materials at the best prices has vaulted Garabar to the forefront of the industry in Southeast Florida.
