Roofing Estimates from the Sky!
We’ve enhanced our estimating capabilities by acquiring a program that allows us to measure a roof from the sky. This means we can estimate the roof before we arrive at the property and compare notes once we do our in-person estimate of the same roof. It also means you can now visit us at our showroom and get a ball-park estimate of the cost to replace your roof on the spot! What does this mean for you? More accurate quotes and the ability to get your quote on the spot. Our new program will be featured at the Palm Beach Home show in October.
2009 Business Matchmaker Conference Update
Yesterday’s conference was a big success. Jodi and Nora learned a lot of beneficial information including survival techniques that can be implemented in this challenging economy. They also had a chance to meet with many potential clients such as : South Florida Water Management District, The School District of Palm Beach County, Paragon, and Palm Tran.
Certified SBE Roofing Contractor in Florida
We’re delighted to report that we are now a certified Small Business Enterprise according to the School District of Palm Beach County Florida Office of Diversity in Business Practices. We were awarded this designation as a roofing contractor and a general contractor.
2009 Business Matchmaker Conference
Jodi will be attending the 2009 Business matchmaker Conference on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. The conference will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m at the South County Civic Center in Delray Beach. This conference will give us the opportunity to meet and do business with South Florida’s government and municipal agencies, as well as top small, minority, woman, and disadvantaged business enterprises at an event featuring workshops and one-on-one matchmaking opportunities.

Our New Roofing Warehouse
We’ve just taken possession of our new material warehouse near our office in West Palm Beach. Our new warehouse will save our customers money as we implement an advanced material purchasing and tracking system that will reduce the need for on the spot material purchases. With our new warehouse, our crews will be fully equipped for the day’s work before they leave first thing in the morning.
As we move our materials to our new facility, we will be expanding our current offices (by converting the warehouse to office space) to take advantage of the full footprint off of I-95. This will enhance our operations and offer our clients a better “in-house experience.
Welcome Scott Hurwitz
We’re proud to welcome Scott Hurwitz into the Garabar family of employees. Scott will be an integral part of our construction sales and estimating team as we continue to expand our Roofing and General Contracting business in South Florida. Scott brings years of project management and estimating experience to Garabar.
Welcome Jodi Zak! Roofing Division Coordinator
We want to give a warm welcome to our newest Corporate office employee, Jodi Zak.
Jodi joined Garabar in 2009 and bring with her years of property management and roofing experience as well as a customer relations background that will help Garabar work with our customers more efficiently. Prior to joining Garabar, Jodi spent 5 years at a large roofing company, working on sales, marketing and advertising. During her time there, she saw the company grow 15 fold. Before that, Jodi spent 7 years in property management working in resident relations and retention. A Broward county native, Jodi brings a wealth of local experience to Garabar and is an essential asset in keeping our customer service second to none.
