Product Spotlight – Slate Roofing
We blogged about our SlateCrafter certification by GAF and want to take this opportunity to let you know why the slate product from GAF is truly a fantastic and revolutionary product.
Typically slate roofing requires the roof to withstand a heavy load and not all roofs are suited to it. similarly due to the unique nature of slate, it was always an expensive roofing option. With GAF’s new TruSlate product, these downfalls are mostly eliminated. The TruSlate product is REAL slate, but it is less is much thinner than traditional slate tiles. It also has a nifty snap-in installation. What you get is a uniform slate look with less material and less weight while also saving on installation costs because it is so much easier for us.

Fort Lauderdale Home Show
We had a great showing in Fort Lauderdale at our largest Home Show of the year. Our roofing estimation software was a big hit and dozens of homeowners came to our booth to estimate the cost of re-roofing their homes. We look forward to seeing you again at the spring 2010 Palm Beach home show!

Welcome Ron Ricketts
All of us here at Garabar are really excited to welcome Ron Ricketts, our manager of roof maintenance programs into our family of employees. Ron is an incredible asset to our program with decades of experience in the roofing industry and a particular passion for developing roof maintenance solutions that help our customers get the most out of their roofs. Ron will be supervising all elements of our newly formed maintenance division.
Roof Maintenance Programs
We’re proud to announce the formation our new roof maintenance division. It is a team of employees devoted to maintenance and preservation of existing roof systems. We understand that it’s not always as easy as jumping right into a new roof, and patchwork repairs can start leaking quickly, especially on older roofs. That’s why we’ve introduced this maintenance program for large residential and most commercial roofing systems. The goal is to evaluate the current roofing system, giving the customer a good idea of the condition it’s in, and then preparing an estimate describing what we can do to prolong its life. Deficiencies and solutions will be presented to keep the roof in adequate condition for as long as possible.
It’s a simple way to give our customers peace of mind when a complete reroof cannot be performed.
Roofing Services For Realtors
Garabar is proud to offer a new services just for Realtors and real estate brokers. We know that one of the most challenging hurdles to jump is the home inspection process and many times the condition of the roof is the main sticking point. Whether the roof is old or damaged or both, buyers and sellers often can’t agree on a solution.
We’ve introduced a pre-sale inspection and repair service where we will inspect the roof and make any repairs necessary. Then we will attach one of our industry leading warranties to our work, so that the buyer can feel confident their roof is in good hands and the transaction can proceed smoothly. This is available exclusively for homeowners working with Realtors.
